As Good As Uber We don't have Uber in Cabo yet, the taxistas are not allowing it, but Andale has snuck into town, Andale is a ride hailing service out of El Paso Texas and has essentially the same interface as Uber or Lyft. On a test run, the driver called within minutes of accepting our ride request to let us know he was about 10 minutes out. Unlike Uber and Lyft, there isn't a 5-star system of rating. Andale makes it as simple as possible: thumbs up, or thumbs down. Our trip was 2.8 miles and cost about $8 US. A bit more than Uber or Lyft, but sure beats hassling with the taxi drivers. And they will find you on GPS, handy if you don't speak Spanish. Andale lets us reserve a ride in advance. There is also the option of setting a return trip and having the same driver who dropped you off pick you up after a predetermined amount of time. If you cancel after 5 minutes of requesting your ride, you will be charged a non-refundable cancellation fee. You will also be charged 100% of the costs of any material damage imposed on the vehicle by the user, as reported by the driver, so hold your cookies if you're using Andale as a safe ride home from drinking. Andale Cabo is compatible with both Apple and Android devices, and may be downloaded via your app store for use in Los Cabos.
